REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTRATION
Sand filters, Micron Filter Cartridges & REWF operate on the principle of mechanical filtration. Sand filters trap particles in water throughout the depth of their bed. When the bed becomes dirty, it is cleaned by backwashing, a process that sends considerable amounts of water to drain. Filter cartridges trap particles in water along its depth. And once the cartridges are chocked, they have to be replaced which requires a lot of manual labor & consumables.
REWF trap particles on the edge of the filter candles coated with perlite media. When the perlite becomes loaded, REWF regenerates by pulsing compressed air, a process in which no water is lost. In addition to providing superior 1 vs 10 to 20micron particulate removal, REWFs significantly reduce the amount of water sent down the drain.
Replacement of filtration medium is quick & simple through a conical funnel at top of the filter housing. You just have to unload the filter powder in the filter housing through the funnel which is carried out by a single operator and takes from 5 to 15 minutes
Zero waste is generated as you don't have to throw away the used filter cartridges as in conventional cartridge filter system.
